Along with all the new leadership in state government, Colorado’s non-partisan political newspaper is also undergoing some changes that we’re happy to share with our readers.
Sara Truax, a longtime devoted member of the staff, is transitioning into a new position at The Colorado Statesman this month.
After serving as our office manager and assistant marketing professional for the past six years, Sara has been promoted to Director of Advertising & Development.
In this new role, Sara will expand her many skills to help us promote the newspaper in the rapidly evolving professions of publishing and politics.
Sara has a vast knowledge of the intricacies of putting out our newspaper every week. And just as important, she understands the needs of our loyal subscribers and advertisers. Sara will be the “go to” person at the newspaper for all your marketing needs: advertising, public notices and subscription drives.
No doubt you will see more of her in the near future as Sara assumes a more visible role at the newspaper.
Next week we’ll introduce some new features at The Statesman, as well as some new columnists. You can get a preview of one of our new writers this week as PR professional and political watchdog Pete Webb weighs in on his first Webbcast.
Happy new year!
