Salazar brothers serve different masters

Dear Editor,

People keep asking, “Why the big difference in political views between the two Salazar brothers, John and Ken?”

It’s really simple.

Department of the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar was appointed to his position — by President Barack Obama. As an Obama appointee, most likely he, along with many other good Democrats, was exhorted to sell his soul to this administration.

The respect and admiration we once had for the Ken with integrity, left when he submitted to the president’s goal of taking our country from a Republic into a socialist state.

It’s sad to see that process changing Ken into someone we can no longer believe in.

Whereas Congressman John Salazar is in Washington because he was sent there by Colorado voters. To this extent, he still works for them — his constituents. By representing and protecting their values and concerns, and the Republic of America, John remains as someone they can still believe in.
