Resolutions approved by Longmont Precinct 646
Resolution #1 Obamacare must be repealed.
Resolution #2 Boulder County Republicans support the Enumerated Powers Act (HR 450), which requires each Act of Congress to contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act.
Resolution #3 Boulder County Republicans support an Amendment to the Constitution which requires that the budget be balanced annually such that a deficit budget cannot be approved. Secondly, we believe that the deficit should be addressed by spending reductions rather than by tax increases and a three-fifths supermajority vote of both Houses of Congress be required for any tax increases.
Resolution #4 No government money shall be used for further stimulus or to bailout any private interests.
Resolution #5 Boulder County Republicans support a Voter Photo ID Law which will require all persons wishing to register as a voter in the State of Colorado present proof of American citizenship, proof of residency, and a photo identification; and to present a photo ID prior to voting.
Resolution #6 Boulder County Republicans support 1. The use of the 10th amendment to block harmful federal bills from affecting the financial wellbeing of the citizens of Colorado, including, but not limited to, the Health Care Bill and any Cap and Trade initiative. 2. The refusal of federal funds that are tied to federal mandates to ensure that Colorado is not beholden to those federal mandates. 3. The Enumerated Powers Act (HR 450), which requires each Act of Congress to contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act.
Resolution #7 The Boulder Republican Party, in defense of the United States Constitution, strongly urges the members of the 112th United States Congress to support the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 as set forth in H.R. 459 and S. 202, which subjects Federal Reserve operations to audits by the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO).
Resolution #8 The Boulder County Republican Party hereby urges all Republican candidates and elected officials to oppose all forms of gun control and support the right to keep and bear arms, and further urges the Republican Party to support only candidates who stand firmly for our 2nd Amendment freedoms.
